GSA Chairman, Yuichiro Miura, flies the Ecoflag on his quest for Mt. Everest! In May 2003 Yuichiro became the oldest man to climb Chomolungma-the world's highest mountain at the age of 70 years and 7 months, making an ascent from the Nepal side. To coincide with the Beijing 2008 Olympics, he now plans to climb the mountain again, ascending from the China side.
Preparations began in 2005 and from October 10th this year began the final month long preparation with a climb to the advanced base camp at 6400m. The Ecoflag looks great with that awesome background.
