Eco Cyclo

10 March 2007--As in 2006, five major cycling events in Europe, involving 35-40,000 participants, will promote environmental awareness as part of the event. The drive, initiated by the European Cycling Association (AEC), is aimed at promoting mass participation cycling events as environmentally active and responsible.

Part of the AEC's ECO CYCLO Movement, the Ecoflag will fly again at events and actions introduced to encourage Eco-citizenship among participants and event organizers. These actions fall within the guidelines of the Olympic Movements Agenda 21 on sport for sustainable development, and is endorsed by the French National Olympics and Sports Committee.

CNOSF (French National Olympics and Sports Committee)

AEC (European Cycling Association)
