The 28th All Japan Women's Football Tournament and 86th Emperor's Cup Soccer Championship took place at the National Stadium in Tokyo on New Year's Day, with the Ecoflag taking center stage on the stadiums big screen.
As the Ecoflag image was lit up, stadium announcements were made with environmental messages such as asking spectators to separate garbage and car pool. In response to an appeal, many volunteers also remained behind after the game to help collect garbage.
