Welcome GSA Cuba

Fernando Emilio Valladares Fuente from the Pinar del Rio Sport University in Cuba, will act as Team Captain for GSA's newest team, GSA "De Porte Ambiental" Cuba. The initial members are Lourdes Gonzales Nunez, Liliana Martinez, Rafael Bernal Castellanos and Lizmaris Feriz Otano

Making its first attempts to promote environmental awareness through sport in the country, the team is working on;
1. Preparing materials to promote the Ecoflag Movement on behalf of environmental awareness in sports starting in the western province of Cuba.
2. Starting its volunteer activities showing the fundamentals of the Ecoflag Movement all over the Sports University in Pinar del Rio, Cuba.

Cuba has an incredible record in the world of sport. At the Olympics alone Cuba took fifth place in the medal chart of the Barcelona 1992 Olympics, eighth in Atlanta 1996, ninth in Sydney 2000, and eleventh in the most recent Games at Athens 2004. GSA is proud to welcome Fernando and his team to our program that aims to unite athletes worldwide in securing a health ecosystem for our future generations.
